Weller Extends Product Line with Introduction of New Electric Screwdriver System

End Users Can Now Rely on a Trusted Brand for Electronic Assembly Needs

Weller, a global leader in soldering solutions announced a series of new Weller® High-Precision Electronic and Mechanical Torque Control Screwdrivers for electronic assembly applications.

The innovative system includes electronic and mechanical torque control screwdrivers. The electronic system uses a scalable current reference to run the entire torque range of the tool allowing greater flexibility and eliminating clutch maintenance, which ultimately reduces the long-term cost of ownership. Controllers are offered with digital and analog hardware to minimize cost and maximize application flexibility where needed.

The device has a smaller controller footprint and weighs less than four pounds -- allowing ease of bench-top positioning just about anywhere. The controllers feature auto-sensing input voltage to minimize SKU management for global end users. A unique power management function conserves energy when the tool is not in use, enhancing facility cost savings. The components in the Weller screwdriver system feature quick-change connections making installation simple and quick.
